My name is Jayden Adams-Ruiz. I attended Maury High School for an Advanced Studies Diploma and the Governor's School for the Arts to – not only improve my craft – but also to be in an environment with people who are driven with similar passions and amazing talent. 

I started acting when I was in elementary school as some fun, "oh wow, this would be nice," kind-of experiment. Little did mini-me know, I would dive head-first make acting a passion, and continuing to pursue it during – and hopefully after – high school.

I simply love to create, I love to be active, I love to socialize, and I love to DO. When I say "do" that just means not being idle. Idleness is a huge enemy because it sucks up time, which can be spent on anything. Not being idle can be as simple as concentrating on your breathing and escaping from the world for 10 minutes, because in the long run it's beneficial. 

(Try it, I double-dog-dare yah.) 

 If I can be a help or be an inspiration to one person. That's great!! But the thing is, I want to continue that and be an inspiration to another and then another, another, more, more, more. Some would say I'm just a wee-bit ambitious. I want to create a web, I want to get to know people. I love people, because we are all so different yet so unknowingly similar.

I want to continue to learn and absorb information from people, because, let's be real, there is so much out there and nobody knows it all. My theory is: the more you learn from people the better your scope of the world and people are; eventually you can become more connected, and that's what the world needs – connection and understanding. 

Acting is an almost spiritual process. I thank my tingles for that belief. (I have tingles sometimes that run through my body and that, I believe, happens when I'm truly connected to a piece, event, myself, or other person). Acting is a way to connect to yourself and the world around you, two things that one should never forget nor neglect. It solidifies your position, your relationships, your life; as it has real world application as well. The more people are connected to one another, the more we understand and respect each other, the more we want to learn from each other and the more we want to tell stories. People are beautiful, without people where would humanity be? Acting is about the people and the stories that people have and want to tell. All I want to do is tell them.

So far I've lived to be 17 years old, passed elementary and middle school, I've completed multiple stage and film projects in my recent years, got invited and accepted into the NHS, completed 6 AP courses (4 more Sr. year), learned to sail over the course of 3 years, practiced multiple martial arts over the course of many years (continuing on presently), won 3 Outstanding  Performance awards, became Bilingual in English and Spanish (now in the process of learning French), created a film in just ~3 weeks, made a family tree of my family, learned how to drive, inspired my brother to be more outspoken, learned how to do tricks with the yo-yo, learned rubik's cube algorithms, come closer with my teachers, friends, and family, become more active in my local community, learned to express myself and be comfortable with myself, taken a liking in portrait photography and other activities.

I always strive to keep myself busy both creatively and for school; it's a balance that I've managed to achieve. How? Well my advice is you must take it easy. I know, it's easier said than done – trust me I KNOW. But just start off my letting yourself feel, expressing emotion to yourself and accepting it. Don't be afraid of who you are and what you can do. 

This summer I started two production companies. One with my friends (JGR Productions) and one by myself (Jelly JAR Productions).

It's nothing too serious... 

But I would like them to be, some day...
