Role (Lead): Mozart
Yeah. There is an actual recording of this performance. And I'm probably exposing and embarrassing a lot of people doing this. But hey, it's apart of the history/lore.
I'm the kid in the golden colored outfit center stage playing Mozart, the lead. I remember growing out my hair for this performance. It was the longest it had been in my entire life up to that point. This was my breakthrough performance and is what made me want to continue acting.
You see, my school chorus teacher decided to put on two musicals. One was Of Mice and Mozart (for the 5th graders) and the other was Charlie Brown (for the 6th graders). I auditioned for Mozart and I got it. So yep. This is it. My breakthrough performance, the performance that made me want to become an actor. Without this performance, I'd probably be studying medicine or something more "responsible" like the law.
The video does cut out my solo at the end (because this is a musical) but most of the performance is there.
Fun Fact: Ryan Rudel (one of my best-friends that also attends Governor's School) is in this performance. You can say this show had an impact on us theatrically and musically.
ENJOY THE SHOW!
