Mind Games

Character Role (Lead): Marvy

Film Role: Writer, Producer, Director, Editor

This film is my pride and joy. I hope to make so many more films where I write, direct, act, edit and produce it. I like the feeling of being that quintuple threat, because it pulls all my attention to one project in  making it perfect. 

The cast and crew pulled through and really did a great job. Creating this film was a super fun experience and I enjoyed the time I spent with my friends in creating it. If i could just do that for the rest of my life I would be set, hang out with friends while doing the thing I love, YES PLEASE!

For some it may not seem like much, but for me (and I cannot stress this enough) it means so, so much. I remember when I first was writing it creating Marvy and Robbie as those two characters. I looked up "how to write a short film" and boom right off of YouTube I took some of the handy tools I learned and got to work. Granted I have so much more to learn in order to fully understand the process, but hey, it takes time. 

Anyway, it took me around 2-3 weeks to complete write it out, and then in one weekend we filmed it. 2 days, TWO DAYS!!!! We worked each other to the brim, and yes there were a few times where we may have wanted to throw ourselves off the balcony into the water, but we made it. Speaking of the balcony, funny story, we were standing there for so long that I got sunburnt. Crazy! That's why, my friends, you bring sunscreen on sunny days out on the film shoot. 

I love this film.  It will hold a special place in my heart forever.
