Role (Lead): Richard Hannay
39 Steps was the first show that I actually have really good pictures of!! (Taken by a professional, Mrs. Friel)
39 Steps came in waves. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but everyone pulled through and the show was actually incredibly fun to perform! Like IT WAS REALLY FUN! I feel like that's all we had.
39 Steps had a HUGE Cast. That is because it had 2 casts: the Cool cast and the Hot Cast. The catch was that I was in both casts. This was because I was the lead, playing Bobby Force (a character I just created) who played Richard Hannay (the actual character). I created Bobby Force because the whole idea was that we were actors in an old Radio Station who were just performing the 39 Steps. So it was like I was playing a character who was also playing a character. Being in both casts was touuuughhhh, but SUPER rewarding. I played with different people, with different minds, with different ideas, with different relationships, and with different objectives. I was in every single rehearsal and in every single performance. Truthfully, I freakin' loved it. That is what I want to do. It was actually so so so so much fun; it makes me smile reminiscing back on it.
The 39 steps set was great too, I just need to shout out Sean Blue for his time and effort because he really is an amazing dude.
Fun Fact: I learned to play a little beat on the drums! Although that sounds easy, I had never touched the drums in my life. I had to be the beat for the Bates Motel advertisement that was played for the show. As if the Bates Motel was a station sponsor kinda thing.
Fun Fact 2: I cut my hair for this show and also put lots of pomade in my hair. Just something I hadn't done before.
Fun Fact 3: For the show we had to learn how to create authentic British Dialects, so we took a few dialect classes which included: British, Irish, and Cockney. Phonetics is a who other language... I'm telling you... But! Learning it was fun, but speaking it was even funner (side-note: I looked it up and apparently "funner" is now a word. The More You Know).
